“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. ย Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

Seven weeks ago, did you imagine you’d be sitting where you are in the condition you are? ย Did you imagine what growth you’d experience, what lessons you’d learn and change you’d see?

Maybe when looking in the mirror this morning you saw the reflection of someone looking back at you that needs some more care. ย Maybe you’ve come to understand that there’s more to life than just keeping a busy schedule. ย Or maybe you need to get a bit more grime under your fingernails as you cultivate the life of your dreams.

Maybe doubt is still rooted in your garden and you need a bigger and more capable force to come in and uproot it. ย And maybe you need help releasing your white-knuckled grip on some things in order for you to open your hands, heart and mind to a life of what matters most.

No matter where you stand now, know that you’re exactly where you need to be. ย Of course there is still growth and change that may needs to take place, but as we’ve learned, growth doesn’t take place over night. ย But there’s always joy in the morning.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” ย {Philippians 4:13}

What a promise that is! ย Whatever you’re facing, Christ will meet you in that place and give you the strength to overcome. ย And here we are, seeking to live life surrendered to Him to work in our lives in order to make things happen to bring glory to His name.

As we move through this final week of our study, my prayer for you is that you’ll find the strength to step aside and surrender your struggles, fears, doubts and expectations for the future to the One who can make things possible.

Remember: you will NEVERย be judged or made to feel unwelcome to participate in activities or our weekly discussions if you have not completed the readings. ย Though the book is valuable, your time spent with community and learning from others can be just as valuable, if not more.
