“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.  Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

Seven weeks ago, did you imagine you’d be sitting where you are in the condition you are?  Did you imagine what growth you’d experience, what lessons you’d learn and change you’d see?

Maybe when looking in the mirror this morning you saw the reflection of someone looking back at you that needs some more care.  Maybe you’ve come to understand that there’s more to life than just keeping a busy schedule.  Or maybe you need to get a bit more grime under your fingernails as you cultivate the life of your dreams.

Maybe doubt is still rooted in your garden and you need a bigger and more capable force to come in and uproot it.  And maybe you need help releasing your white-knuckled grip on some things in order for you to open your hands, heart and mind to a life of what matters most.

No matter where you stand now, know that you’re exactly where you need to be.  Of course there is still growth and change that may needs to take place, but as we’ve learned, growth doesn’t take place over night.  But there’s always joy in the morning.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  {Philippians 4:13}

What a promise that is!  Whatever you’re facing, Christ will meet you in that place and give you the strength to overcome.  And here we are, seeking to live life surrendered to Him to work in our lives in order to make things happen to bring glory to His name.

As we move through this final week of our study, my prayer for you is that you’ll find the strength to step aside and surrender your struggles, fears, doubts and expectations for the future to the One who can make things possible.

What you can expect

  • Weekly Schedule – Bree will share the weekly schedule which will be pinned to the top of the Facebook Group page for easy access.  This post will be updated daily with links to the most relevant information and where they can be located in the group.  This will be a great way for you to catch up at the end of the day on information you may have missed, all at a centralized and easy-to-locate location.
  • Prayer & Praise – Becky will be sharing a post in the Facebook group where any and all of you are welcome to share prayer requests or praise reports throughout the week.  This post will be easy to find by accessing the Group Photos (found in the top toolbar of the group page), in case you need to share or want to go back and spend some time in prayer over what others have shared.
  • Photo Challenge – Amy will be sharing a video of this week’s photo challenge.  This challenge is OPTIONAL, but a fun way to connect with fellow community members in sharing what you’re learning through the weekly reading.  Share more than once throughout the week using the hashtags included in her video.
  • Study Buddies – Be sure to check in with your buddy periodically throughout this last week to provide encouragement as we continue this journey in making things happen!  If you need a reminder of who your buddy is, visit the Group Photos (found in the top toolbar of the group FB page).
  • Facebook Discussion – It is always a blessing to gather with everyone on Thursday night!  We’ll be gathering again this Thursday at 9 p.m. EST for a more in-depth look into our final reading assignments and how we can apply what we’ve learned and our last giveaway!
  • Fill Me Up FridayThis is a great way to restore some of that fire inside of you through sharing of inspirational images, scripture, YouTube videos, blog posts, etc. This is also a great time to catch up on what you may have missed earlier in the week, so let’s use this time to inspire each other as we end this great study!

Remember: you will NEVER be judged or made to feel unwelcome to participate in activities or our weekly discussions if you have not completed the readings.  Though the book is valuable, your time spent with community and learning from others can be just as valuable, if not more.
