I’m a words girl from WV. Reading and writing have been passions of mine for as long as I can remember. For just as long, I’ve been one who preferred to remain behind the scenes, so God has had His cut out for Him to bring me forward into the position to help foster this dream and make it a reality.
Iโm grateful for the way that Heโs helped to transform a simple faith-based blog and permitted it space to grow and transform into a global ministry to help women better know His heart through His Word.
When I’m not reading or writing, I’m making and selling my handmade pottery, getting my hands dirty in the garden, taking copious pictures of the world around me, or spending time with the ones I love most.

As a young girl, from Martins Ferry, OH, I didnโt enjoy reading. It felt like a chore and Iโm terrible with spelling. So I never dreamed Iโd enjoy being a part of studies like these let alone actually be a leader and blog contributor. Thankfully, God had other plans.
The more I learn about the Middle Eastern culture and study Biblical context, the more this passion and desire to learn grows. Studying the Bible feels less like a chore and more like an exciting archeological dig where Iโm discovering new and amazing details God buried deep within the pages of His Word.
I’m so happy to say, finding the right books with fascinating information has sparked a passion for reading, and these days I canโt get enough. And thank God for spell check!
Born and raised in Pacific Grove, CA, I am the wife of a retired Army officer and mother to three young adults.
I was living in Italy when I went looking for a new way to study the Bible. Surely, there was more to it than what I was seeing on repeat! Rediscovering God’s Word in Biblical context through language, culture, geography, etc., has been life-changing!
When I’m not geeking out on a newly discovered Hebrew word, you’ll find me in Maryland exploring my current home state. I am an avid quilter, needle puncher, and antique/junk shopper. I’m always up for a road trip too!
