Looking at the calendar today I realized that I will have been attending Zumba classes for a month (officially for a month, tomorrow). That means that this girl, who has never enjoyed or even was really motivated to exercise is now doing it for 60 minutes a day, a couple of times a week! Who knew that if you actually got out there and built it into your day to day activities, that it could even be fun!

Tonight at Zumba was another milestone. There is one routine that kicks my butt – every time. It includes a lot of high kicks and though the kicking part is not hard, keeping up my stamina and not feeling like my lungs are going to catch flame is the tricky part. Well exercise-induced asthma eat your heart out because tonight I did the entire routine without stopping!
I may not look like this picture yet, but I’ve definitely noticed a difference in the way my clothes are fitting. My belt, that I’ve owned since I was in high school (over a decade now), I can now synch to the 4th hole, whereas a month ago I was only able to synch it to the 2nd hole.
Another month and my friends should start recognizing a difference and then just one more and the rest of the world may take notice. At this rate…there’s no way I’d quit!
