Chapter 11: Dear Kids – Pages 70-76

Have you ever gotten lost in the hustle and bustle of things only to realize that after it is all said and done you didn’t really get to enjoy it?  Then the dust settles and the time is gone, and you wonder how that much time really went by.

For me, this seems to happen on a daily basis.

One of my biggest fears is that I will look back, in my old age, and regret not enjoying life.  So, in this season I am trying to change my attitude, thoughts, and personal goals to be that of attainable joy. God’s word says,

“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.” – 1 Timothy 6:17

Whether we are in a good season or a bad season, we are able to love God and love on others.  If we follow through with those two actions our lives can be more fulfilled than any amount of money, food, clothes, and expensive cars can give us.

“God measures our entire existence by only two things: how we love Him and how we love people.” {For the Love}

Take a few minutes to let Jenn Johnson of Bethel’s words wash over you.  Listen to the love song between her and God.  God wants us to spend a little time with Him.

Let God’s love take you captive and enjoy that sweet moment with Him and everything else will fall into place.
