After returning from a trip to England, where I blogged about my travels with my brother, I decided to start my own blog.ย  While it started out being more of an online journal, it eventually shifted to a place where I first explored sharing my faith publicly.

In time, it gifted me a sense of freedom that I’d never known, when I began to share out of a place of vulnerability, while I sought after purpose in the imperfections of life, and I went on to lead faith-based online book studies for women for several years utilizing that space.

And I truly believe that it was all made possible because I decided to anchor the space to God’s truth early on.

Intiallyย I anchored my blog, Breething, as it was called then on Philippians 4:8 (MSG),

Summing it all up, friends, Iโ€™d say youโ€™ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, graciousโ€”the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.

But it was 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT) that helped me to brave a new focus and style of content development when the blog was reintroduced as, The Imperfect Vessel.

โ€œMy grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.โ€ย So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

I’m grateful for the truth and hope found in these passages.ย  I’m grateful for what each of them meant to my life in the seasons that I shared in that space.

And now I’m excited to use another passage, for another season, here at Ready-Made Ministries!ย  Ephesians 4:12 (The Voice),

To equip Godโ€™s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.
