I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I sit down to read Scripture the words seem to bounce off me because of their familiarity. Their effect has less of an impact or significance.

Let’s change that today. It’s one of the most familiar chapters of Scripture in the world. Psalm 23.

Instead of immediately thinking of fluffy white sheep in a field and their shepherd nearby. Take a moment and ask God to help you read these words differently today. To bring you closer to Him.

I love the NLT translation–
“The LORD is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
brining honor to his name.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.”

Take special notice of the perspective shift mid-way through the Psalm - from talking about “He” (as if speaking to an audience) to “Your”, more intimate and relational.

It begins at verse four.

💥 Try reading the entire Psalm in that relational tone.
It shifts things.

I meant to post here last Friday evening. I meant to share some news on what I feel God is calling me and the ministry of Intentional Filling to… but I was otherwise ENGAGED!

Yes, you read that right—Ryan proposed! 💍
And I said, YES! 🎉

I promise this space and ministry won’t turn into a wedding blog, but I may occasionally share some of the lessons we’re learning in this new chapter of our lives.

Like how we’re already experiencing the blessing of trusting in God as we simultaneously hold joy and grief—a practice that is very Jewish in nature. And how we’ve both seen God moving in the details.

But for now, some ministry news…

As we continue to reassess how to best serve our community through our services and the products we offer, and through much prayer and contemplation, we’ve decided to expand our collection of DIGITAL PRODUCTS.

These will include:

To help you dig deeper and spend more intentional time discovering Jesus on every page of Scripture

We’re building a comprehensive collection of resources that have become our “go-tos” over the years

Access to our previous Biblical Study discussions to use on your own, or with your small group

Will we still offer physical products?? Yes and No.

• Yes—but now we’ll only offer them as a short run multiple times a year. This helps us to keep our inventory low (crucial for the tiny space the ministry works within), and it allows us to be better stewards by focusing our energies on items that are most beneficial to growing your faith… and an occasional t-shirt. 😉

• are yearning to be a mother

• are new mothers

• are mother figures

• are moms

Feel like you’re not “qualified” to study the Bibl

Feel like you’re not “qualified” to study the Bible?
You’re not alone.

Imposter syndrome can creep in and whisper things like,
“I’m not smart enough”
“I don’t know enough”
“Who am I to teach others?”

But here’s the capital “T” Truth:
𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒅. 𝑯𝒆 𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅.

You don’t need a seminary degree to seek God.
You need a willing heart.

Start small. Stay curious. Ask questions.
And trust that the Holy Spirit will guide you as you grow.

Remember: Confidence doesn’t come from knowing it all. It comes from knowing the One who does.

Open your Bible, and let God meet you there. 📖💕
